environmental and territorial planning and analysis.

Established in 1995, Ambiente Italia S.r.l. has merged some of the first environmental planning and
analysis experiences developed in Italy since the beginning of the 70’s by Ambiente Italia Research
Institute (established in 1990) and Cooperativa Ecologia (established in 1978).
Ambiente Italia’s corporate mission is directly linked to the environmentalist milieu where its
members and researchers developed their expertise; during these years, the research and consulting
capacity of Ambiente Italia has been more and more appreciated by its clients.
Ambiente Italia has carried out studies and researches on behalf of different European Commission
Directorates, the European Environment Agency, Italian Ministries of the Environment and
Agriculture, the National Environment Protection Agency (APAT), many research institutes, Italian
and foreign universities, more than 150 local authorities (municipalities, provinces and regions),
and a number of different private enterprises.

Ambiente Italia coordinates the yearly editing of "Ambiente Italia State of the Environment
